My Life: a photo a day

where: kitchen at home
what: my trusty recipe box and my just-as-trusty gingersnaps. I’ve yet to meet someone who can only eat one and if you ever pop over you can be sure there is always a stash of these in the freezer!

Ginger Snaps

2 cups sugar                       2 tsp soda

1 cup butter                        4/12 cups flour

2 eggs                                  3 tsp. ginger

7/8 cup molasses              1/2 tsp salt

1)  Combine first four ingredients.  Blend

2)  Add second four

3)  Roll into small balls

4)  Dip into sugar

5)  Place on cookie sheet

6)  Bake for 8 minutes @ 350 degrees

pro-tip:  Do NOT overbake.  take them out when you think they could use a little longer and when they cool they will be the most chewy and delicious non-snappy ginger snap you’ve ever tried!
